This pattern is written in a made-to-measure format in order to ensure size inclusivity and to maximize your choice of materials. This means there is no specific gauge and stitch count included. If you are not comfortable with this type of patterns, feel free to skip this one.
Betty is a vintage-inspired design featuring rich texture and delicate lace details. The shell stitches across the cups combine with an elegant lace back panel, and cascade into the Paris stitch throughout the body.
Designed with flexibility in mind, Betty is easy to modify every step of the way. The front closure can be left open for a sultry effect, or buttoned up to be more suitable for work. The optional puff sleeves add a touch of whimsy, tying in the lace details to create a cohesive look.
This design is highly inspired by The Buttercup Top of @shopdaisyanddime whom I adore and love.
Skill level: Advanced Beginner
Terminology: US Terminology
Materials:
3.50 mm hook or any size recommended for your yarn
Size 2 sport weight yarn or smaller is highly recommended especially for full top version or the dress but you can use any yarn in your stash. Heavier weight yarn is going to look a little bulkier with the textured stitches used.
